Tuesday

Another busy, and filled day....I worked on trying to get a data card working from 6-7:30 am and finally had to tell AT&T that I would use the 'pony express' instead!
Ed and I worked on electrical wiring all morning. Chloe was up early, and then had an 'awake relapse', falling asleep again until around 8 am. Ed and I came in for breakfast around 9 and then back to work. Chloe, Ed and I all went to town at noon, to get money exchanged, and other supplies we couldn't get yesterday.....we were all over El Paso. Lunch was consumed around 2 or 2:30 pm and then some more errands before returning to Chaparral. Got more wiring done, and then off to Maya and Nate Capps for supper at 6:30. Ed and I returned to the wiring until dark. Maya was not feeling well (possible bladder infection), so Chloe watched the kids for awhile as Nate had come to assess my wiring job and visit. Debby was getting some things gathered for Maya.....she brought Chloe back about 9:00. Chloe called her family, and is now taking a shower at 10:15. When she is done it will be my turn at the shower....boy was it hot and sweaty today! May be a chance of rain in this parched area tomorrow, will have to see?
Tomorrow will most likely be a marathon of getting the vehicles ready and other last minute items done before the Oklahoma group arrives in the late afternoon. There will be more packing and readiness to take care of then, as we plan on crossing the border early on Thursday.
I may not get to post again until Friday or so,  after we get to Guachochi!
I know it's well past my bed time.....without even looking.....so goodnight all !!!!

Chaparral, NM

Chloe and I arrived in Chaparral, NM on Monday at 10am....Ed and Debby met us at the airport, and we took off on an errands and supply hunt. We were all over the city trying to get American dollars exchanged for the Mexican Peso. Ed said because of the Holiday, the exchange rate is terrible, so we will go back tomorrow. Had a huge lunch (around 2 PM) to celebrate Debby's birthday (2nd June) and because Chloe and I were really hungry. Got back to the Capps house, and went right to work on electrical wiring for the air compressor Ed has here at the border.....Chloe and Debby sorted some cloths that we will take to Mexico, and started some supper. Evening is the coolest time of the day to accomplish anything, so all of us were busy until dark.....Finally fell into bed at 10 pm

Night before.....

7 hours and 15 minutes before wake up call, and then heading to DIA for departure at 8 AM.
We have two carry on bags, and two to check.....absolutely stuffed with all the extra clothes we could get in them. All extra clothes will be for Cassilda and the girls. I don't know what additional fees it will cost us, but I'm not unpacking them now!
We are staying at the Lacy's, (myself and the Haas family). The Haas family we drive us to Denver and see us off.......Goodnight all!

Running out of time

Here it is Wednesday, before Chloe and I leave for Chaparral NM on Monday next week.   I have so much to do, before being gone for 2 weeks. Packing is the easy part anymore, as it doesn't take much for me to travel in the clothing department, work clothes and one set of descent attire for Church.
The scheduling of work, for the employees, while I'm gone is the hard part....especially when the calls come in daily for 'help' on the water well service. Even when I'm here, the schedule changes all the time....oh well, the men will just have to handle it.....I'm going to focus on the 'mission' and let them take care of business issues!

Talked to Ed yesterday, and they will be on the road this week back to Chaparral and then on to Mexico. They will be stopping in Oklahoma City to visit and maybe speak at CHA.
I sure am starting to get excited about the 1st of June......thats coming up mighty fast!
